Dorrit Moussaieff; jewellery designer, socialite and wife of the Icelandic president; has been ordered to pay GBP 1,000 and been banned from entering her London neighbour’s home for two years due to an argument over a broken water pipe.
Tiggy Butler took Moussaieff to court over water damage in her flat, which is directly below Moussaieff’s — where the leak took place. The Daily Mail reports that the first lady intends to appeal the judgement.
Tiggy Butler is a former lover of Ryanair founder Tony Ryan, and the court case is the latest chapter in a difficult relationship between the two ladies.
It was roughly two years ago when water started leaking inside Dorrit’s Knightsbridge residence. Dorrit is accused of having left her flat and entered Tiggy’s on the floor below, uninvited. When the interior designer saw Dorrit in her lounge, she apparently demanded that she leave and Dorrit apparently refused, the court was told.
Tiggy Butler decided to sue Dorrit Moussaieff for illegal entry into her home, for water damages and also for inappropriate behaviour, threats, harassment and for having abused her diplomatic immunity. Dorrit firmly denies the allegations.
The pair have something of a history, according to the Daily Mail; as Dorrit had previously threatened to sue Tiggy over the large amount of dust created during home improvements several years ago.
Dorrit Moussaieff says she hopes her appeal will be heard by a London court this spring.
